After noticing that the S3 was finally supported I started looking into it as I loved my accessport on my GTI. I noticed that while they list Stage 2 and Stage 3 off the shelf tunes they aren’t available for download

I contacted Cobb and asked about it and they confirmed that the maps come loaded on the accessport but aren’t available for download yet as they’re still working on their intake for the car.

Just thought I’d throw that out there in case anyone else noticed and was on the fence about buying it.

I’ve got mine on order and will probably be going with a stratified pro tune as they were great with my GTI.

I contacted Cobb over 3 years ago when I had my S3 and they didn't support it. I had Cobb ap on other platforms and I also noticed that they already had it on the GTI and Golf R but they told me that the S3 was a different ECU. They are great tuners but they drop the ball on offering the S3 tune, they should have supported the ECU on the S3.

Yeah I would get off that Cobb ECU Tune asap, the knock on it is terrible. I would go with an Equilibrium Tuning tune.

I’d get an EQT E tune to go with it for sure.

I am just old school and/close minded but here is my standpoint on COBB. I am sure the are a great tuner but taking my history in this Audi stuff, I have come to trust brands that only do VAG performance over someone who will just do anything. I tend to gravitate toward companies who know the specific brand. Cobb does do VW Audi and Porsche, but the also do Subaru,Nissan, and Ford, none of which have anything to do with each other. That's quite literally like bringing your car to a shop that says the specialize in European, Japanese and Domestic cars. I mean technically that's not a specialization at all. They basically said they do everything and that's unsettling.

AGAIN, I have seen people have a shit ton of success with Cobb, I just feel like companies like APR, 034, Unitronics, Eurodyne, ABT, IE and even GIAC still. I am just giving my opinion and I am no body.

I agree to a point, which is why I stayed away from Cobb and wasted a bunch of money running IE's tune for 6 months. I didn't realize you buy the Accessport just for the platform, then go to a tuner of your choice through the Accessport.

As of now I'm content with cobb.
I feel the difference and is not by any means stock.
I like the gauges to keep an eye on things.
I've done all necessary things to make this tune work.
I trust that they are making a great product in tunes.
Everyone has a different modification for performance.
I feel that cobb suited me well
I drive 100miles every day so I need to watch things.
    Im not beating my S3
But I have that Xtra power if I need it.
