Exhaust Modifications

I have a 2018 Audi A6 3.0T. I was thinking of modifying the exhaust on my A6 to get a little more sound. A popular modification is to delete the mid or rear mufflers. I still have three years left on my warranty. Would Audi decline warranty for an exhaust modification? So if something went wrong with the engine would Audi decline warranty coverage based on me having modified the exhaust?

Thanks for checking in on this topic, I know it's a popular one for folks thinking about making a modification to their vehicle. Ultimately, AoA reserves the right to deny a warranty claim if there is an aftermarket modification made to the vehicle that can potentially be related be linked to the warranty claim. If you are interested in making this sort of modification, I'd recommend speaking with your Audi dealer and asking their opinion but if you have further questions I'm available as well.

I did speak to my local service rep and he did not see an issue with it. His comment was that deletion of a muffler(s) would not have any impact on the engine or even exhaust components. However, who ultimately makes that decision about a warranty claim? Is it the service provider or Audi?

it's the manufacturer obviously, not the dealer...

It's obviously by the manufacturer not the dealer! As he only sales it, not manufacture it.
