    obd eleven questions

I'm interested in lowering my 15 s7. Someone recommended using obd eleven to lower vehicle. I went to the website and it says nothing about lowering with the obd eleven, I was trying to see if anyone has used the device to lower their vehicle and if they could walk me through it? or if there is another easy solution other than going to the dealer or links

Find someone with VCDS to do it. Many folks have them.

Yes, you can do this via ODBEleven. On their website it isn't going to say anything about lowering the vehicle because it isn't a one click app like a lot of their built in coding changes. On this one you have to go to the specific module and do several adaptations. The first post on this thread I'm linking tells you exactly what to do (it says VCDS but OBDEleven will use the same exact module and adaptations):

    https://www.audiworld.com/forums/s6-...PNOHq0-YPdqalw

This is the results on my car after completing the lowering using OBDEleven - this is fully stock air suspension (no lowering modules or links) on Dynamic mode (lowest suspension height):

Do I need a security code? I was reading the steps and it looks like it takes me to some German website on step #4

To lower it did you need a security code? I went to that link then that page had a German link for website but I didn’t see any security codes

Instruction linked in post #3 is ok and works fine. However, I know everyone is clever here, but still I recommend that everyone who does this adaptation understands what they are doing during the process. Read instructions through carefully not once but at least twice before doing anything with OBD11.

    Some tips to start:
#1: Take paper, pencil and measuring tape.
#2: Start the vehicle and set air suspension to "Auto" mode.
#3: Drive vehicle to well balanced surface.
#4: Measure ride height from center of the wheel to the edge of the fender. Do this to each four corners. Write values down.
#5: If all corners equals same height, you are ok. If there is some kind of difference between corners, you should take note them when doing lowering. But remember, for example A6 C7 approved drop is 17mm in each corner. If you have ACC, it can affect how low you can go without getting errors. Errors are not displayed necessarely during lowering process via OBD11, but they may occur on your car display when you have driven some kilometers.

What does an human error in this process result in, or potentially? Can you just revert back to the previous state?

Basic principles and all goes well:

#0 Take backup copy of the settings before you start. Write all original values down which you have measured and what you are about to change. Obey the order of the instructions and make them clear to yourself what are you doing.
#1 Never EVER press option "reset all adaptations". If you do, then you must pay a visit to local Audi and get it reprogrammed.
#2 Security code has to be accepted by OBD11. If not, stop that what you were doing and figure out right code.

My order was delayed so I haven’t started yet but from my under standing I’m adding to the values that I’m measuring vs subtracting to lower the vehicle. I don’t have acc so I’m wanting to lower the car maybe an inch in lowest setting I know I have to translate the measurements in to mm but then I add it to my stock values vs subtracting?
