Catless downpipe with all resonators intact.....love it. Cold starts are still pretty loud but after its initial 20 seconds or so it calms down pretty nice. I had no resonators and it was loud as shit, turbo sounded nice on spool but all in all i felt like i was driving a shit can civic with a 3 inch straight pipe 1.6 vtak y0!

When im in comfort mode at cruise control 75mph the car still sounds stock, just to give you an idea.

If you guys are going catless then I would just have the cold start removed via a tune if possible. That high initial rpm is for warming the cat that no longer exists so is pointless.

I've been running the RedStar 300 CEL DP, with the stock catback for about two months now.

Cold start is loud enough to hear with the windows closed, but not obnoxious. Just really defined burbles, as expected on a cold start.

Sport and manual modes you can also tell you've done some work to the exhaust, but it is not obnoxious either. Honestly, I think it is the perfect mix of subtle and sporty. Quick shifts under full load sound really well, lots of raspy burbles! I have not driven in the other modes though (I can't even remeber what they are called😆).

I also have not taken it on extended trips yet. I can't imagine there is any drone, as I havent experienced any at cruising speeds for short distances.

Perfect info just what I needed to know. I figured it would be subtle while keeping everything else stock. Appreciate the feedback.

One thing I noticed is 034 provides replacement gaskets with their DP for the B9 S4/S5. Do you think it’s necessary to use new gaskets as Redstar doesn’t seem to include them.

Installed reverse LED bulbs, nice to see Audi is still shipping cars with incandescent lights where they can get away with it.

Did a quick writeup too since all I could find were Q7 ones (process was pretty much the same though...)

deAutokey, ran a bunch of their stuff in my S3 with no issues in the 4 years I had them. Way brigher than the Ziza ones I had tried from ECS.

Are the other bulbs in that housing led? If I’m going to go tot he trouble of changing the reverse lights I may as well do them all while the housing is out. Do you know what other bulbs are in there?

The other 2 bulbs in the housing to the left and right of the reverse light behind the red lenses don't look like they are LED (I didn't pull them out to confirm though). Didn't replace them on mine as it didn't really bother me as opposed to the really yellow reverse light. I honestly didn't really play too much with the light switch so I don't know when the other two bulbs light up. I'd guess rear fogs and perhaps parking light?

The entire design was a bit odd to me as the bulbs are attached to a grey plastic assembly that has the contacts inside it that in turn makes contact with the housing to supply the bulbs with power. How much do you want to bet Audi doesn't sell those plastic socket/bulb holders separately and it comes as an entire unit only.

Thanks. What exact lights from deAutoKey? They have a few options for the SQ5 on their site and it's not clear what is exactly the correct replacement part.

I’m tempted to buy the whole set but I think being in Canada will yet again kill me on exchange and shipping. Maybe I should just take a chance on cheap ones on amazon

I got my paddles today and they fit the factory set fine but the tip of the new ones is hitting the wiper arm. I move the speed switch to the left and it helped. Did you have the same issue?

Just finished changing out the reverse bulbs. 5min job thanks to your write up. Ended up just getting bulbs off amazon to test. If I don’t get a light out error i’ll end up swapping out all the bulbs

What did you do to your B9 Q/SQ5 today?

Finally put on spacers. 10mm front and 15mm rear.

More like what I wish I didn't do to my SQ5 today. I tried to murder the Michelin man. First time in 6+ years that I've curbed a wheel and boy was it a doozy. Ugh. Guess I'll be looking to refinish these now.

I was heart broken yesterday but I've moved on a bit today. Shit happens. I already have a few chips from rocks, stains from liquids, etc. Just is what it is. I was making a turn at an intersection and was talking to and looking at my dog in the trunk in the rear view mirror. Just took the turn a little tight apparently and that particular curb was apparently quite sharp and had it out for ole rubber man. I was already debating getting new wheels or maybe painting these ones. So at a minimum I'll get these refinished and either keep them or flip'em and switch it up.

Looking for any intercooler feedback, I know there is the one from Forge or AWE. Both seem to be plug and play with no modification needed. Anyone running or know of any other options. AWE is a few hundred less than the forge

I have the AWE one and have been happy with it. Install was plug and play, no modifications of any sorts. There is also one by a company called Rev9 that can be had for $500 or less depending on if you can catch it on sale. I think Makes Centz is running that and a fair amount of B9 S4/S5 guys are as well. I believe the SQ5 has slightly different mounting than the S4/S5 so not sure if it's a perfect fit out the box or not.

Awesome thanks, I read through a lot of the S4 threads also. Glad to hear it is a direct fit with the included hardware. Now to figure out when it will be back in stock. That is a tough price to beat.

    Installed a Roc Euro intake!

I also drilled the butterfly nuts and attached parachute cord so it’s not impossible to get them back out of the frame rail.

Sounds great! Unfortunately only sat in traffic with small gaps to accelerate, looking forward to getting it on an open road!

I had to look up an install video to see what the butterfly nuts were for, pretty clever solution you came up with! At least you don't have to modify any chassis bolts or cut a hole in your intake like ones that cost 3x the price of that Roc Euro.

Last night I got around to coding a few things like disabling the amber side markers, showing current gear at all times, and messing with the turn signal "nudge" flashes. Going to try and figure out how to disable the turn signal winking stuff tonight maybe as I haven't found much info about it online outside a few posts talking about enabling Scandinavian DRL, which I don't want.

    Disable Winking DRL
    09 Cent Elect --> Long Coding --> Byte 2 : Bit 3 (sl_at_drl,active = ON)
Note: DRL is still slightly dimmed, but does not completely turn off

Let me know if you get this working. I tried coding the wink off when I first got the car but had no luck. Don't remember the coding I tried. But will try this.

This worked on my 2020 SQ5. I found others that did not work.

I read reviews on some forums that this was an issue on some paddles so I ended up ordering ones that were not so long to avoid this.

Mine do not really any contact. Sometimes it'll just rub very slightly on the wiper speed nob but like you said, if you move it to the left, there is no contact.

I wished they placed the actual pad on the front of the mounting bracket instead of it in the back as it'll look much more flush and also avoid any future rubbing issues.
