What did you do to your B9 Q/SQ5 today?

Installed some paint matched front reflectors today. While I didn't have to take off the wheels, or bumper. This wasn't the easiest of projects. It's only 3 torx screws>go offroad driving mode>crank wheel to opposite side>pull back fender lining. I had to destroy the stock reflectors to get them out. Then you must remove all the (old) adhesive tape on the inside of the bumper. If you don't do this, the new reflectors will not sit right. This was the most time consuming, as there is not much room for your hand, and there is large internal bumpers pieces in the way. Also very easy to cause damage to the lip. A blister on each hand, and finally can call it done. Definitely worth all the effort though!!

Curious who is running an intercooler and what brand? I know there are a few options for the B9 SQ5 like Forge or AWE. Looking for any feedback or recommendations.

I have the black REV9 intercooler.....super easy install. Completed alone in about 2 hrs. Probably can do it faster next time around now that i know how everything comes apart. I did it with the wheels on and was able to bend back the fender liner one at a time with the wheel turned all the way to the opposing side and a stubby driver. Pretty straight forward install only tip i would give is to remove the passenger side of the bumper first if you are alone, there is a sensor that needs to be unplugged on the driver side when taking the bumper off the car.

Didn’t get any good pictures as the car was parked in the garage all day but here’s how she looks.

I def think 15/20 would poke way to far out. 10 in the front max. 20 rear maybe.

Love how it came out. Springs arrive soon so it’ll make the stance just right.

Just tried to do them today but failed.

I have a heating gun but no fishing line so used floss (worked for my previous cars no problem) and floss line kept on snapping until I ran out. I guess I have some cheap floss or the new adhesive from Audi is top notch lol

What did you use to get them off and also remove the leftover adhesive?

I immediately put the spacers, lowering links and roc euro intake on :). Still need to give the links another adjustment, but it’s decent for now! Wheels on the way!

I didn't exactly do anything with the SQ today, but I did do something for it. I ordered the Red Star high flow cat. CF mirrors should also be here in a couple weeks.

Awesome, did you go with the 200cel? I have been wanting to order one, but decided to buy some wheels first. Hopefully will have the new to me wheels in the next week or two coming from Mops.

Yup, chose the HJS 200 cel with heat shielding. Gonna run a spacer for the time being and hope it doesn't throw a CEL. If it does, fuck it, I'll just live with it till someone makes a stage 2 file.

I am thinking the same, seems like most people are having good luck with the spacer and HJS 200 not causing any CEL.

The people I know of with that down pipe config I believe are all running a JB4 which I think can cancel out the CEL. Am in no way sure if that's 100% accurate as I obviously don't know everyone's set up and I've never used the JB4 previously so could be wrong about that capability. Regardless I'll be hoping for the best and prepared to just live with the CEL for a bit if necessary.

Took my audi tech 1 hour. With the right curve wrenches. And semi-hot engine bay. A totally cooled down car would be quicker. I have no issues with engine lights or errors. I have jb4 running higher boost and stil no issues. I do not baby the throttle. I go hard pulls all the time. It rips! No engine light issues. And NO spacer fyi.

Ordered some new rubber for the wheels I have coming in from Mops. 295/35/21 Michelin PS4 SUV tires. Can’t wait for everything to arrive. On a side note I will have a set of 15mm and 20mm spacers with lugs from ECS for sale shortly if anyone has interest. Ran the setup for only a few months on the stock 21’s.

would be really loud! i have 200cell high flow and paired to awe resonated touring exhaust. when in dynamic mode it's loud with great feedback on upshifts and downshifts. when in comfort mode its creates a louder/deeper sound that appears when in 8th gear. like drone sound but depends on rpm's. catless would be very loud on any drive mode unless you keep factory exhaust in place.
