Question Aftermarket Exhausts for C8 A6

Has anyone found/installed any aftermarket performance exhausts on their ride yet? Haven't been able to find anything out there. Sucks that there's barely any mods out there for this car yet.

This may sound strange, but given the fake exhaust tips on the bumper and hidden actual exhaust, you could remove the muffler, clamp on basic down turns under the car and see how it sounds for almost no money. Leave the rest of the exhaust stock

i am looking at a C8 A6 and did some prelim searching here to see if anyone has found solutions for removing the fake exhaust and putting in a aftermarket exhaust system with real tips....has that been figured out? if so, what brand is making that happen? AWE is my favorite exhaust company but it seems they only offer the downturn tips to meet the fake exhaust tip valence need.

Well maybe you can retrofit the S6 rear bumper/valance. Also the big question is which engine do you have? I have the 2.0T and thought about making it a little louder but I worry that making the 4-cylinder louder will not fit the characteristic of the car.

I have a C8 A6 and have the AWE S6/S7 track exhaust with the quad tips. Cut the rear valance and it looks really good but I do have an aftermarket rear valance sitting around I just haven’t gotten around to yet because I’m in the Northeast and it’s been cold af here.

I’m currently sitting at Stage 1 with my C8 A6. APR stage 1 high TQ tune, APR full carbon intake, AWE track exhaust, GFB diverter valve and APR turbo muffler delete(not installed yet). This summer I am considering the Wagner Tuning comp. intercooler and either a Gesi Gen 2 or a HJS high flow cat from RedStar (NYS emissions is a bitch or I’d go completely catless). My built and boosted completely catless Honda I could never get to pass inspection no matter what tricks I tried to pull out of my hat lol. Then it’s time for some light suspension work until someone offers a TCU tune. Once a TCU tune is offered (hopefully by APR) I will request a stage 2/3 tune through them and upgrade the turbo, fuel pump etc etc. it’s rowdy for what it is as it sits but I’m always trying to be faster.

that's interesting- any issues with an exhaust that's optimized for a 2.9tt instead of a 3.0t? any fitment issues?

Direct fit no issues what so ever. It is a real head turner and gets a lot of attention and compliments especially after the intake and tune. AWE has the touring exhaust for our cars and if you look closely on their website they put a link to the S6/S7 track exhaust and say it’s a direct fit. The only reason the track exhaust isn’t listed straight up for our cars is because of our rear valance but if you’re willing to modify your stock rear valance or go aftermarket then it’s not an issue at all.

That's great to know because I'm struggling to get an S6 resonator delete where I live but can get A6 exhausts easily.
