    8P Cam follower question

While replacing the vacuum pump in my 2010 Audi A3, I decided to inspect the cam follower for wear. I was (pleasantly0 surprised to find a roller type follower.
I bought this car used a few months back so don't have the full history on it. Did the cam follower change to a roller type at some point during the 8P development or is this an aftermarket setup?

    Many thanks!

On further review of the interwebnet, seems like the issue I was expected (worn cam follower) affected primarily the VW engines. The Audi TFSI 8P engine uses a roller cam follower and is not subject to wear. Bonus!
