Black caps... although I have to admit, I kinda like the silver rim guard too.

Appreciate it. If you're referring to the side skirts, I had them painted to match (Daytona Grey). It made a huge difference in the side profile look, IMO.

Playing around with Kenotek detail spray. Pretty impressive gloss; hoping the word on it being a good dust repellent is true--it has been too dusty lately.

Report back on the Kenotek Showroom Shine if you can! I’m interested in the anti static claim, too. I had to stop using Beadmaker as I felt it attracted dust like crazy. I’ve been using Carpro Elixer and really like it. Always open to new stuff tho ;)

Appreciate it! I have the Maxton Design rear diffuser installed. I love the way it looks -- definitely the best one available today, IMO. Here is a pic (don't mind the scrape on the bumper, someone hit me and didn't leave a note):

Also, between black and painted rockers, I'd go painted!

The fitment is spot on, so no issues there. The only thing that took some time was transferring over the electronics (not really sure what they are) that were housed on the inside of the oem diffuser as the Maxton didn’t have provisions for them. Had to do some light surgery work to transfer the unit and wires to the new diffuser. Nothing a little gorrilla glue epoxy couldn’t handle :)

I also used a couple of self tappers to make sure it wasn’t going anywhere.

Totally agree on the Beadmaker attracting dust. I switched to TEC582 and it has all the same shine and ease of application with way less dust.

Oh, nice. I’ve never seen that one before. I’ll grab a bottle and add it to the list to try. Just got my bottle of Kenotek that I’ll try this week.

Awesome, let us know how it goes.

I don’t run their front lip, I’m running the ABT Sportsline front lip and absolutely love it.

Thanks for posting, loving the look - also looking to order when they finally come back into stock with COVID happening. Did you end up painting your exhaust tips black? I was worried if i upgraded to the maxton diffuser that i would need bigger exhaust tips but it doesnt look too out of place!

Appreciate it! I actually ordered the diffuser directly through Maxton Designs website on April 25th and it was delivered last week. Exactly 4 weeks from order to delivery. It came straight from Poland. More expensive than ordering through ECS since you need to pay for shipping, but still not bad.

Yes, I rattle canned my exhaust tips a while back with high heat engine enamel I had laying around and it’s held up great and looks good with the diffuser. I do plan on going with AWE soon, though. The new diffuser is begging for some 102mm tips.

I finally decided to try beadmaker a few months ago, and although I do love it, especially the shine it gives, I did notice it attracted more dust than my regular spray detailer which is Shine Supply Throttle. Shine Supply did market it as an anti-static, which makes me believe it did its job after trying out Beadmaker.

    Yes it is.

Wrapped the bottom in white vinyl.

The sides could have extended further to cover the stock lower bumper area but besides that, I love the way it came out!

You did a great job making that JC Line lip pop, I feel like S5s desperately need a front splitter to ‘even’ out the look. Great to see more cosmetic mods and variations being used - keep them coming.

I love me some carbon, but Maxton Design only offers a "carbon look" spoiler, which I didn't find to look much like real carbon from the pics. Thus the gloss black :)

Fiberglass, yes. I don’t know if durable is the right word but what front lip is really? As long as you don’t bash it against anything I think it’ll last a while.

I was lucky enough to cancel my order with alibaba and pick one up locally from another user on here.
