I'm babysitting the S5, but I have driven it enough to form some thoughts.

-The Audi interior is of better quality (however I do like the MB paddle shifters more)
-I prefer the Audi seats and diamond stitching
-I prefer the MB virtual cockpit and larger center screen.
-This S5 is on H&R springs and 19" summer tires whereas the C43 is on 18" all seasons and stock suspension so I prefer the Audi handling (for now)
-C43 sounds better and feels marginally faster.
-C43 is RWD biased, so easier to "drift" and have rear end out.

Thanks! I am cross shopping them and so far have been leaning much more to the S5. I don’t mind not having RWD bias as my weekend ‘70 Camaro with a LS3 has plenty yo kick the rear out!

The S5 has rear wheel bias as well. 60% rear 40% front by default. The C43 is 70% rear 30% front.

The exhaust pipes appear larger than stock and look good. Does the AWE exhaust change sound when you change driving modes in your S5, assuming the AWE has the exhaust valve like the stock exhaust?

They are much larger, 102mm. The exhaust changes slightly based on the driving modes. The downshifts in Dynamic S modes are very nice. The exhaust is not valved like the stock.

I may look into ordering a set, somehow. I honestly like them more than my OEM 20" 5-Arm-Flag wheels.

Yah I was a bit surprised myself having had HR’s on my previous cars. The photo was taken the day after the springs were installed.

It might be that the weight of the engine is enough to push the front to where it would have settled in time but the rear still needs to settle.

I ended up going with H&R VTF adjustable springs because I had the different ride height for front and back for years in my A3. Drove me nuts. I know my wheel arch height is 27” in the back but 27 1/2” in the front so I wanted to make sure I can adjust to make it even. But it’s possible that these settle evenly just because of the weight of the engine block up front.

It is the Maxton one indeed... I think it’s the V2, but I am not actually sure any more.

I ordered it in like September last year and got it in late November so I didn’t install till just now. It’s a bit more gloss looking then I had hoped, but that might wear off with time.

I do have a top notch Audi/VW mechanic near Dixie and Eglinton in Mississauga.

I will probably go back there to get the work done since he’s been doing all the non warranty work on my cars for over 17 years now.

But then I have to find a good place to do the alignment since I’m not sure I trust Audi Service to do it. Independent Tuning are great but it’s quite a hike from the west end.
