Hi everyone

My S3 is close to 50k miles now and the brake pad light on the dash has finally lit up. My car is also out of warranty now so I plan to bring it to an indie shop to be worked on.

The car is mainly used in the city with some spirited canyon driving sprinkled in here and there. I do not track the car.*

Is it recommended to change rotors while also changing brake pads?
What is consensus on replacement pads? Should I stick to OEM - if so, where can I purchase them?
If aftermarket is the better route, which manufacturer is recommended? I read mixed reviews about EBC's red stuff and heard yellow stuff is more for track work.*
