question for A3/S3 owners from an RS3 owner

Corrected some pts: So I am thinking about making a facelift RS3 clone A3, 2.0 quattro Convertible for my daughter with all my extra RS3 parts laying in my garage. Question for you all: has anyone tried to install a stock RS3 diffuser on your bumpers and do they fit? If not does anyone know if the S3 rear bumper is the same as the RS3 one minus the diffuser? I see that the bumper part for A3/S3 is the same but the Audi parts site I can't find the RS3 bumper cover part number to confirm.

Next question for A3 owners: has anyone tried to rig an S3/RS3 exhaust on your A3? Looking for tips and ideas as my goal would be to put my stock RS3 exhaust on a 2.0 Quattro A3 Convert. Also if any A3 convert owner are reading this and plan on selling this year let me know, twin daughters don't get their license til end June anyway so no rush. Just feeling things out and having fun with possibilities. Thanks

Haven't done it, but would like the dual tip instead of the 4 on my S3 as its overly fussy and no functional benefit so interested in what you find. My girls don't want to drive at all, which is odd for kids of a total gearhead lol.

The RS3 bumper cover is not the same as the S3/S-line or the A3 one. The oem RS3 diffuser will not fit to the A3/S3 bumper.

The RS3 exhaust may fit the S3 as both cars are quattro. If your daughter's A3 is a quattro, it may fit. If it's a FWD, to the RS3 exhaust will be 1) too thick and hang too low down and 2) you will need to modify the inlet pipe, because the quattro and the FWD mufflers have the inlet pipe shaped differently.

Okay, having owned both cars I have some info. We're talking about a FL (Facelift) 17+ car correct?

    1. Rear bumper assembly will bolt up to rear of car/match fenders. The RS rear bumper is no different than the A3 s-line / S3. You could effectively run an a3 rear diffuser or bumper on an rs3 (sans exhaust tips).

    2. Front bumper assembly will not bolt up correctly, as RS front fenders are wider and the bumper is shaped to that. You could get RS fenders if you want to, I think it'd look good. Xenonz-uk offers a facelift-> facelift RS3 bumper kit that comes unpainted.

This is not accurate, s-line it will fit, non-sline it will not.
To say "may fit" the S3 only further suggests you don't know the answer.

The RS3 exhaust as a whole piece will NOT fit an A3/S3 due to the fact that it splits into TWO pipes as it passes the haldex/diff. The A3/S3 has a single pipe all the way through.
What you CAN do, is take just the backbox of the RS, set the valves open or closed manually (you can use pins or weld it), and weld it up to where the pipe meets the backbox. All the mounting points are the same between both exhausts.

    4. S-line sideskirts are the same as S3/RS3 sideskirts, so as long as you have those you'll be okay.
