    2002 Audi A4 3.0L
New to this car and it's dawned on me that I never hear the cooling fans come on ever >???
My engine temperature never passes the middle point on the gauge, even sitting in traffic
Is there a way to check or test the cooling fans through Ross-tech Vagcom >??
    Measuring blocks >??

I start the car let it idle (no fans ) the car warms all the way to the temp gauge 1/2 way point (no fans) I drive it for 30 mins and get stuck in traffic (no fans).....I park the car in my drive way for another 15 mins at idle (no fans)..... I turn the engine off (no fans)....WHAT GIVES >???
I know the german engineering is way superior than others but this is ridiculous !!!!!

I'd cut the wires from fan module then hook the fans to battery and if they run then u can at least rule that out. Can always butt them back together , hope u had skinny hands unless u wanna put it in service position.

Pretty sure you can run a output test with VCDS to see if the fans come on at all

You can almost certainly test the fans via VCDS i did test them on my 2.5TDI A4 B6 and on other Audis that i have via VCDS works great go to engine module and use OUTPUT TESTS option on some model you have to go to the AUTO HVAC control unit and use OUTPUT TESTS to test the fans.

A/C test as mentioned, or I took a set of insulated wires and put clips on both ends that I've used to test multiple things. Basically unclip the electrical harness and try applying power directly to the pins from the battery to see if it will spin.
