    What Flywheel to Get

I think before I tear into (or have someone else tear into) my transmission and do a clutch kit I want to make sure I have everything I need. I already purchased a stock clutch kit, an Exedy AUK1005. When I purchased the vehicle, the PO mentioned that he had a lightweight aluminum flywheel installed, so do I need to get a new flywheel? Do I need an adapter plate? And if so any that you guys recommend? Not looking for performance, just drivability.

    Thanks in advance

Do you know what brand your flywheel is?

For example I have a JHM lightweight aluminium flywheel on my RS4 and when you change the clutch you just need to purchase a friction liner that is reinstalled on the flywheel. I believe it is the same for the S4 JHM lightweight aluminium flywheels making it a cheap fix as the part is ~100 usd

I don't know for sure I want to say he said JHM, but I can't get a hold of him to find out. I am not opposed to getting a new flywheel, I just don't want the thing to set wide open for a week while I am looking for another part :)
