I was at my dealership this morning and went through this and other threads relevant to this matter. The General Manager was shocked, as he has a couple of TTRS vehicles on order that may be affected with this MMI issue. Part of his concern is that he is going to deliver the vehicles and then the purchaser is going to come back and say "WTF"? And his answer would have to be, "there may be a fix in Q3".
I asked him if he would be telling the individuals whom have ordered the vehicles, and he was at a loss for words, and he will have to connect with Audi Canada as to how to inform the customers of the potential problem, if at all.
Audi is putting their dealerships in a terrible position to either lie by omission about having knowledge of a fault in the vehicle, or tell the consumer to take delivery of a car that is not what the customer has paid for and coming back to discuss the issue AFTER they have taken delivery, with little easy, immediate recourse.
Just found out as well that Audi has a TTRS on display at the Canadian AutoShow in Toronto this week and next week. Why? Last MY of production. And Audi is selling a vehicle with a known faulty MMI.
