    Fueling issues? P1093 error

Hey all, sorry for the long post but I've been trying to research my issue and did a forum search on my error but wanted to run some things by everyone. My question up front, What sensor is the "fuel pressure - regulator" (Group 103) readings coming from?

The car in questions is a 2008 A4 manual trans w/146k miles. Cam follower replaced at 120k (haven't rechecked yet) and car isn't tuned. The previous cam follower had 40k on it and the black coating had been worn off but no other scoring. Plugs replaced around 120k miles and coil packs previously at about 80k miles (red top R8). I did some logging and I don't think i'm getting the correct data for the fuel pressure regulator (G 103).

What led me to this was the car has stalled a few times while taking off from a stop, and while driving there's a loss of power for a second or two then goes back to normal. When this happens the engine bogs down then when it returns to normal there's an obvious kick, like bump starting jerk. At this point i'm guessing loss of power is when it's misfiring and the jerk is when the engine stops misfiring.

Here are my engine fault codes. No CEL on or flashing at any time.

Here's one, RPMs report 0 for one instance then there's misfires on multiple cylinders. At this time I was cruising down the freeway on throttle to maintain speed.

Here's anther one, same RPMs report 0 for one instance, missfires on #1 cylinder (this reported for 25 seconds). Same, cruising on the freeway on throttle to maintain speed.

PS- for those that will mention the fan control circuit error, I've tested the fans using the output test and the primary fan isn't working, the aux fan works when the AC is running and it keeps the coolant temps in the low 90s. I'll be testing the fan itself by applying 12v directly. I had this happen on my B6 and both the fan and FCM were shot.

Low pressure is monitored by the sensor on the HPFP and high pressure is monitored by the sensor on the fuel rail.

If your RPM’s are showing zero while driving with VCDS, maybe you have a bad crank position sensor. That would probably throw a code for it though.

If you really want to get good data through logging, collecting that data while cruising down the road won’t tell you everything. Do a proper 2nd or 3rd gear pull to redline. Log 003, 103, 106, 230 and 231, foot to the floor from 1500 to redline in turbo mode to collect the most data.

Thanks. I'll get a full pull as soon as I can and update.
