Anyone one figure out a solution to ios13, not allowing next song selection through MMI 3G+ controls?

It might be the firmware in my MMI 3G+. I have a 2012 B8 S4 with nav. I know Audi updated it few years back from an issue, not sure if it’s the latest version, I’ll have to check later

My issue: I’ll plug the phone via cable to MMI(I have MMi to lightning cable) and song auto plays as it should, since the ios13 update I cannot control the song selection by all vehicle controls. I cannot use rotary knob to open folder and cannot select songs. If I use forward/back buttons they do not work. If I use steering wheel controls, same concern. Only button that works is volume controls. If I play another media source, all is fine with my vehicle. If I plug in my kids iPod on ios12, all is fine.

I had downgraded to ios12 when I first noticed the issue, all controls worked fine without any issue. Unfortunately, this week my iphone auto updated, I forgot to disable the feature, I’m back to the latest version of iOS13.1.3 on iphone7 plus with same issues.

I did some searching and noticed a ton of issues related to ios13 concerning vehicle audio controls. Just I cannot find any solution to this issue for my MMI 3G+. That’s unless it’s my vehicles current firmware, for all I know it’s the latest version and that’s the calibration with a bug?

You care sharing your MMi firmware version?

Ahhhh, I see what you’re saying. I just use Bluetooth. I can direct connect in a couple of days and let you know.
