    Winter floor mats

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I was talking to my detailer about purchasing some winter mats for my RS3. I have purchased and used weathertech floor mats in all of my previous vehicles and have been relatively satisfied with them.

He told me that he found a new product that he's been recommending to his customers called TuxMats. Just curious if any of you have heard of them or tried them? The coverage seems to be substantially more than the weathertechs for about the same price.

    What do y'all think?

Those look nice...a lot nicer than Weathertech; not a fan of their giant badging. I ran them in a Tacoma I had for a while and they were fine, but there's no way I'd be okay getting in my RS3 every day with the tacky Weathertech logos. It looks like you could easily remove those tuxmat logos also. If you commit I'd be interested in seeing pictures installed in your car.

Those do look look nice. I also concur about the badging, luckily found a cheap fix for that for the weathertechs.

I had these for my RS 3 and they were awesome!

They don't make them for the TT so I went with 3D MAXpider which are awesome too.

I am in Winnipeg, crazy winter, with these oem one and no issue. All the water and rock got collected on the lower part with no spill. When I did my spring cleaning inside the car, the carpet under the mat was spotless. I've had weathertech before in all my cars, but I prefer the oem all season ones, better look and more rubbery material vs hard plastic weathertech.

I got the Audi rings and it’s the same. Definitely more of a dark gray/faded black. Still a nice upgrade from the weather tech badges for the price.

Yep, the Audi Sport is the same also. It looks fine, just would prefer them a deep black if I'm going to purchase another set.

Totally, I already reached out to the vendor and told them we have a current count at 10, so hoping they can push through with the order.
And what I suggested we do, once they are ready, is for me to gather everyones email to bill their paypal to have payment and shipping arranged per order.

Just a quick update if you're interested...

I was *this close* to pulling the trigger on some new tuxmat floor mats (link in 1st post). After doing some research, I found that Costco sells the tuxmats online under a different brand name called "Phantom". They are exactly the same mats as the tuxmats but are 30 dollars cheaper. I decided to buy them through Costco because I figured it would be easier to return them to my local warehouse if I didn't like them rather than shipping them back directly to tuxmat. Plus, 30 bucks is 30 bucks.

Anyway, I installed them a few days ago and I have to say that the fitment is close to perfect. They cover way more area than any other mats that I've seen which is nice with winter quickly approaching.

I would honestly rate them 10/10 so far and am pretty pleased with this purchase. Here's a couple of pics of them installed front and back.
