So I'm replacing the front control arms on my 2010 S4 and ran into a problem with the pinch bolt. Couldn't get it out with an air hammer so my friend decides to torch the bolt. He ended up torching it for too long and melted the top corner of the knuckle. Now the bolt is completely stuck and probably fused to the knuckle. I'm trying to look for a replacement knuckle but it seems like there's so many part numbers and revisions. My understanding is that I have M12 ball joints since my S4 was produced is middle of 2009. However, I don't see any new knuckles for the M12 ball joints available anywhere. What are the differences between the two? Will the knuckles for the 2011 and newer work if I buy M14 lower control arms and ball joints or is the knuckle completely different?
