    CETE MODULE ERROR

    Need advise-

I’ve had the module installed on my car for 2-3 months and today I go to start it and get an error saying something about my suspension and only being able to drive at 35 miles max. Then also something about my headlights not leveling.

I shut my car off and started back on twice and same error.

    Any ideas?

I was lowering my car with VCDS about a week ago and accidentally "Reset All Adaptions" and then got this same message. It also stated that ACC was unavailable. It required a visit to my local dealership to have the factory code flashed to the level control module through ODIS. My service adviser just charged me a diagnostic fee and it took about 90 minutes.

Is your car stuck at the maximum ride height right now as well?

A friend at the shop had an S8 with a CETE Module and mentioned this happened to him as well and it required him to unplug the battery overnight and then drive the car for a short period to get the message to go away.

You might try using your app on your phone to bring everything back to stock levels, and if you have a VAGCOM cable, use that to clear the errors. If you can do all that, then you can try going back to your prior lowered settings on your Cete module.

Use the bypass plug that you should have gotten with the Cete module, to return to stock height, and see if that solves your problem, then plug the Cete module back in.

If you drive “too low” the car can throw all sorts of codes relating to ACC, headlight levelling etc.

I drive -20mm on all corners, very occasionally get a code if I take a speed bump too fast.
