Anyone lowered your A6 S-Line Sport Suspension with Lowering Springs?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm not wanting to put coilovers on my a6 since im not sure how long I'll have it considering it has 265k miles.
But, has anyone with Sport suspension thrown on some springs and saw the listed 1.5" drop?

I'm afraid I won't see any drop and regret the $300 spent.

I know I have Sport Suspension because I have the original Window sticker.
But it still has fender gap and sometimes a bunch.

Heres a pic of my sport suspension fender gap....

    Thanks

I have a c7 that came with the sport suspension. I put h&r sport springs and love it. It lowered it to the perfect height imo. Not too low where I would scrape everywhere and still have a comfortable ride, being that's it's a daily. Basically, lowering springs on a sport suspension will still lower the car, just won't be the drop that's described by the company making the springs (unless specified). The drop listed is 90% of the time, the expected drop if the car has OEM base model springs.

JPJ. Also have an 11 C6 w Prestige & Sport Pkg, S line, no air. I ordered the Eibach 50/40 springs and waiting on Koni yellows. My fender lip is 26.25” front & rear with 255/35-19.
I also don’t think the H&R’ s would much drop.

Ok, let me know what you end up with after installing the springs.

It took a while for the Koni’s to show up, my indecision.
Also had the shop replace the rear sway w an H&R while there.
Short slow ride home as I have a bad rear tire.
(short story, valet seriously curbed 19” RR tire ... bought a set of 20’s from out West, they show up with a ding and damaged c cap, now “meh” has to cover for seller non disclosure ) so waiting on repairs and buy some Zeros.

Anyway 25.5” at the fender lip. Feels very tight.
Bumps on road felt normal in slow mode. 255/30-20’s in the wait.
Look forward to really driving the car.

Looks good, is the driveway angled or is your front higher than the rear?

It’s the way the fenders are cut; rears are shallower than the fronts. At level ride height, it looks like the rear sags lower but it doesn’t.

Sin, tough about your ride. If you haven’t found a donor, I hope one comes along.
JP, I’m going to shoot btr pics once I get the 20s repaired and wrap the trim.

Ah kills me its the fender cut.... I'll probably adjust my front lower then so the gap matches. ( If I went coilover )

Fat, alright sounds good man. Car looks killer.

Thinking of going with eibach lowering springs and Koni FSD. Eibach advertises a 1.2" drop, but we'll see. Very mountainous and hilly where I live, aggressive drop would be the death of me

    Some follow ups.
Got the 20’s on, pulled the 10mm spacers off the rears and put on front, have plenty of space - ET45 255/35-20 Pzeros.
With the 19’s I had a fender to ground of 25.5”. With the 20’s I’m back to original height, ride and handling feel superb. Love the way the fenders look stuffed. Will roll the front fenders if I detect any more rubbing.

    Thanks
if you still havent, Im actually in a process replacing my stock sport suspension, with Bistein B8 and Eibach pro kit springs.

Ill try to remember and post back once installed. Im just hoping that it wont drop more then stock sport, as im not into low car, but only in better handling as this suspension is gone from bunch of km on it

for you, dont even think replacing those springs, if u aint gonna replace struts/shocks. They are DEAD at that mileage, strut mounts are dead, and once u take stuff apart, it wont go back in as it should.

    Copy thanks.

I'm not sure what my plan is with this car.

    I really want a c7. I just can't justify it right now.

Local junkyard just got a c6 in. I'm going to grab a bunch of small parts I need like the magnetic parking assemblies, and some modules etc....

Koni FSD and eibach lowering springs in a 2-for-1 package right now on sale for $850... For anyone wondering. If I had the cash they're exactly what I want to pick up

It says 2005-2010, however? Im not sure if that includes 3.0t models. https://konimarket.com/products/2005...front-rear-152
