    Shimmy's S4 Exhaust Conversion

Total cost of mod: $420 out the door

I wanted something with dual quads, while still maintaining an OEM look and sound. For the money, the S4 conversion is hard to pass. I picked up a complete S4 exhaust for $100, OEM hanger/heat shield/Y pipe/parts for $150, and labor cost of $170 out the door. Overall, I'm very pleased at the results, both fit and sound.

We removed the second resonator and welded in a magnaflow Y pipe in its place. From there back its complete OEM S4 mufflers and pipes.

At idle there is a noticeable difference, but at WOT it sounds pretty close to stock. The tone is lower and grumbles at idle, yet very mellow. This was exactly what I was going for. I wanted something OEM+ and quiet, nothing that would attract attention. My days of loud exhausts are over. I'm too old for that (32).

After looking at things closer, the tips seem to be off a little. No worries, I'll have them adjusted and it will sit perfect. This pic makes it look much worse than it is. Its barely noticeable.
