Looking for a clean and maintained avant. Trim level don’t matter. Clean title and closer to New Jersey the better.

    Found one in Arizona.
    Low mileage, under 80k.
    It's prestige not premium.

yeah, im counting on that as well, when leases start coming back in.
But In all honesty, Ive literally seen 2 on the road here (toronto) in last 3 years lol. Literally nobody is buying them. I have seen more RS6, then regular allroads.

If you don't want maintenance, at least make sure it's been walnut blasted, pcv, waterpump and t stat have been done as well. Just did mine this past weekend.

Yeah, it's so tough. It wouldn't be my daily driver this time around, I got burned bad enough that I went and bought a Lexus LOL.

I just miss driving it. I had a USP motorsports intake on it, and it was louder than any S4 I'd ever seen with APR, IE or 034.

But yeah, 83,000 miles with a slipping transmission, chains that rattled when warm, etc. I just kick myself and wonder how much longer there'll be running supercharged wagons, ya know?

yeah, nobody is doing all that work and then selling it like that. Major maintenance to do list is usually the sole reason why people are getting rid of these cars. Thats why they are unrealistically cheap on used market considering "how much" of a car you are getting.

I almost sold mine a few months back for 14500. It's now at 94k and just did my maintenance. I'm thinking I will keep it at least 3 more years.

in all honesty, there is a bunch of them, and they are not getting more expensive. that one from the add gives me a weird vibe, rear end looks messed up, model lettering is re glued on and done poor, meaning it was in an accident/repair job, rear wiper same thing, color in general looks too shiny and not like a factory paint, and mileage in general, just sounds like a typical dealer rolled down kms, to make it just under 100k.

I was somewhat in that boat. By the time I sold it, within the last 10,000 miles I'd done the entire front suspension (control arms, sway bar links, tie rods, etc), PVC/water/thermo, new crank pulley because the rubber one exploded, etc. I'd taken care of almost every major service item except for the timing chains which was the last straw.

Agreed that the black avant seems.. fishy. I noticed the badge but didn't see the potential accident damage

There’s solid ones out there, but good condition well maintained C6.5 Avants are getting rarer and rarer as the days go by. For every 10 I see for sale, only like 3 are in actually decent shape

yeah, they are just constantly asking for something, like, constantly something breaks or starts failing or is annoying.

its just the north american way, drive it to death, and then get rid of it, dont put a dollar in it, as long as the wheels are rolling.

I am starting to believe that is the proper way to be honest. Saves you a ton of money and time.

I mean, maybe. I keep mine up to date and it's still nicer to be in and drive than pretty much every rental car I get through work, despite being 15 yrs old and 196k miles. Staying on top of maintenance means your car lasts longer which does save money in the long run, barring any significant failure. The longer you own it, the less it costs you, so the 'don't maintain it just drive it' mentality really only works up to ~100k miles. Outside of oil changes I work on it maybe twice a year? Parts are reasonable and it's fairly easy to work on.

Actually early April will be 10 years with the thing and it's never seen a tow truck or had any other kind of roadside issue, except for when we hit a jerry can at 70 mph because it was painted black and was on the road at night. Not faulting it for a cracked rim and dead tire though. I still have no idea how it didn't catch on fire, that was 5 gallons of gas straight to the engine bay and undercarriage. It still strikes a good balance of not-boring to drive, practical as hell, decent looks, and still a lot cheaper to own than buying something else.

The only reason we're even toying with selling it is we are trading the mountains for the coast, so we won't need AWD anymore, and I've always wanted a GTI. That's just a want though, and we have the motorcycles for fun vehicles, so still TBD. Hard to let go of something where you have all the maintenance history and it still runs well.

I'd honestly have been okay with keeping it if it wasn't for the transmission slipping and the timing chains going bad. I can deal with just about anything myself, but it was my daily driver.

I didn't have the money to pay someone to pull the motor and I for sure wasn't getting it all done in a weekend, so away she went. I occasionally toy with buying an S4, they pop up CONSTANTLY on KSL or Facebook marketplace with bad mechatronics units.

Today marks 2 years with my A6 C6.5 Avant - my rear suspension creaks like crazy and it sounds harsh despite changing the rear shocks less than a year ago. Possibly time for new bushings, lol. I should have kept my rear sway bar setting to the soft position (and now its too late - had the shop cut that off thus being stuck in the stiff setting).

Just a heads up that my daughter's 2010 Avant is newly listed at Audi of Lynwood in Washington state. This used to be my car and has always been well taken care of. Last year we did the whole supercharger off walnut blasting, PCV valve replacement and water pump/thermostat and also fluid change on the transmission. It's only got 109,000 miles on it. Silver with dark blue interior, Premium Plus. Oh, and all the upper control arms were replaced at the same time as the other work.

    Hello Group,

I just put my 2010 up for sale. Thoughts on the price? Because there are so few, it's hard to determine a fair price.

Kinda depends on maintenance. At 167k miles, you might want to post up when the last time the front control arms were done, t-stat & water pump, carbon cleaning, etc. If those are current-ish you're probably in line. If you have no idea, you're probably about $2k high.

I know it's not a wagon but 34k miles for $15k? I've dealt with this dealership before, Rev Motoring, and they have a solid reputation.

Condensing the herd down to a single vehicle ahead of our move. Will get a formal FS ad going in a week or so, but figured I'd post here ahead of time. 204k miles. Still starts/runs great. Premium Plus w/ cold package, silver, s-line front bumper, black interior.

It's showing it's age a little - front seat backs separated, passenger front shock clunks, has had a perpetual PS pump leak that needs topping off on occasion, oil filter housing leak, sunroof is stuck in place, flex pipes JUST started to leak a little (of course), passenger cam chain tensioner should probably be done soon-ish.

However, it's bone stock and has been its whole life. It has actually been kept up to date on fluids (trans, supercharger, diffs, etc) vs just assuming they are 'lifetime'. I have owned it nearly 11 years and have an excel sheet where I tracked everything.

Kinda hard to price it. Thinking about $4500 w/ the thule rack and extra set of wheels/tires. Have some extra parts/fluids/etc that can go with it as I'd have no other use for them once its gone.

For the love of fucking God somebody buy this. 138k miles. I live 20 minutes from where this car is located, and the dealership seems legit.

I'm genuinely upset that I'm in a tight spot right now and that I can't buy this. If anyone wants me to take a look at it, I'm happy to go check it out. I might anyways...
