Hi Everyone, I’ve read many forums on her about misfires but there seem to be some different routes i could go with this.

First some background:

A few weeks ago my 2014 b8.5 A4 2.0 TFSI was jerking/hesitating during acceleration (especially under load and/or higher rpms) and threw a cylinder 2 misfire code. Car had 51,000 miles on it so I replaced all 4 spark plugs and coils. Around the same time I started to get the flappy wastegate issue. Found my car still hesitating under acceleration and thought it was a misfire again. Read the code in Vag Com and it was an underboost code, not a misfire code. Replaced the turbo this week. Now I expected the car to be running like it was before all the issues began and today the car threw a cylinder 3 misfire code with the same jerking/hesitation from before. This only happens if I apply more than 50% throttle, otherwise you’d have no idea anything was amiss with the engine. I’m thinking it might be the injectors but I don’t wanna just assume it is that. Especially since I’m a near broke college student and this car is starting to get very expensive. Plugs are gapped properly and they’re laser platinum NGK’s. Coils are Bosch.

And then there’s this. Often if I start the car and start to drive slowly or rev it in park I get these popping sounds coming from the engine bay. Here’s a video of the sound https://vimeo.com/361452839 I have no idea what this sound is or if it’s related to the misfire but I’d like to know.

If anyone has any ideas please chime in! Thank you ahead of time
