Some other recent threads have gotten me thinking about how many of these unicorns are owned by Audizine members. I saw a similar post to this for the B7 25 Years of Quattro S4.

it was on sale for 7500$ cad, cheap, but I wasn't ready to put time on a mid-high mileage car. I had mine at 80k km from a old guy, so Im aware of all the maintenance.
mine is 2.0t, 6mt, very well equipped , I miss : garage door, headlight washer (useless), bi directional headlight and heated rear seat.
But I have navy, xenon, auto wiper, memory seat, 2/3 of the winter pack (wheels and mats) , dimmed mirrors, bose, etc.

and why not in US ? 3.2 were common on b7..

Wow, that is an amazing deal for whoever bought it. Has Recaro seats too!
200K kms on the odometer isn't a problem if it was well maintained. I bought my non-sline 2.0 at 182K kms and drove it for 2 years - didn't have any major issues at all, just normal maintenance.

3.2 Avants are relatively uncommon and I’m not sure if you could even spec out a manual 3.2 avant. I know you could get a 3.2 6mt sedan so I guess maybe you could, but I don’t know if anyone ever did. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one in the US.

I've seen manual 3.2 avants for sale so clearly it was an option. I was trying to buy one a couple months ago. Granted idk if it was To lol.

I would agree with you that a 3.2 6mt Avant TI edition is the most rare. I’ve only seen one in the wild and that was 10 years ago. Got to drive it for 40 miles as stage one of a dealer carbon cleaning service. That car made me really like Audi Avants.

The guy at the dealership I took mine to says that mine is one of 10...took me 3 years to find it, so I guess it is pretty rare.

before getting into B7, my main researches criteria were based on : avant, 6mt, 3.2L and sline. I did not want the 2.0t , for the reason that everybody knows.

I made an offer on a sedan sline 3.2, didnt work.

Then tried my cousin 2.0t, and convinced me that it wasn't that bad, since its easy to maintain and a lot of part are available. Even salvage engine are not rare.

Then back in 2015, I saw this mint, always in a garage , 2008 80k km (50kmiles) 2.0t sline avant 6mt for 15k$, and negotiate to 14k$. Back then, it was a nice deal, not crazy deal , but a good one.

Btw, I've looked for 2 years for a 3.2 avant. I even post ads ''looking for'' . the only one I found, is a 2007 3.2 red avant 6mt sline for 8000$ in 2014... guess what , salvage title...
