    Anyone have ECS Coilovers?

Wanting to finally address my stock suspension, and go with either a set of springs/koni yellows, or a budget set of coilovers. I was looking at this set:

$700 seems kinda low for coilovers, but I wasn't sure if anyone has firsthand experience with these? Curious about the ride quality for a daily driver.

I have them. And truthfully I love them. To have adjustable dampening as well for sub 750 is absolutely ridiculous. Soft setting is definitely soft, cranking them will definitely tighten them up. They feel great, perform well, and no coilover noises like other cheap brands. Only thing I recommend is T9 coating them so they dont corrode (same as any other coilover).

Also, I daily mine and its enjoyable.

I think you can get the Vogtland coilovers in the $750 range if you look around, a good option in the below $1K offerings

Yes, I've had them on my Avant for almost 100k and finally about to add a new set.

I've been eyeing these up for a while now too. I have Solowerks which have served me well for the years but I wouldn't mind having the ability to stiffen them up a bit.

ECS put these things on sale often. They've been in the $580 range quite few times over the past year. Hold off until then, it makes them a no-brainer at that price point.

That's definitely good to know! I'll be keeping an eye out for them as soon as they go on sale. I'll probably set these to fairly soft since it is my daily driver. Just looking for a solid suspension when I eventually upgrade to a stage 2 & k04 upgrade.

Consider the Bilstein B12 pro kit as well. I think cheaper than the ECS kit, and Bilstein is an OEM supplier (ECS is not!). I'm sure the Bilstein quality is better.

    Not adjustable tho.

That ECS kit does look like a good value at that price point with cool features. It is a pretty new kit, less than a year old, so durability is totally unknown.

Looks like a good value for sure. Wonder if it would fit the Allroad?

Have the ECS coilovers on for the past two weeks or so. Really like them. Went by the recommendations in the instructions then adjusted a bit. They are settling nice and now I love my car all over again.

I just installed these on my B8 A4 avant. I'm quite happy with them considering the price point. I always felt that the stock suspension was under-sprung and over-damped, and this setup is definitely a move in the right direction. I would prefer a slightly higher spring rate in the rear, but this may be due to the fact that the avant has more weight over the rear axle. The dampening adjustment definitely has an effect on ride quality. I have them adjusted to the stiffer end of the adjustment range, with the rear stiffer than the fronts to try and make up for the spring rates. I'll take some pictures after I wash the car.

Any update on you pics? I'm wondering if this kit would work on the Allroad.

Wheels are 19x9.5 +38. There is still room to go lower on the coils. I'm very satisfied with the ride. I'm not sure why the pictures got so compressed, I'll try and repost later.

Nice, thank you. Do you think if you wanted your ride height to be slightly higher there is still adjust ability on these coils to do so? Are you still enjoying the ride quality for a daily driver with the adjustment ability?

Yea there is still room to go higher than that. Honestly the ride quality is better than stock. Perfect for daily driving duties. I have it adjusted to about the middle of the range in the front and 5 from the stiffest setting in the rear.
