    Where to find torque specs

Been doing some more extensive work than I initially anticipated on when first digging in to swap out my pvc valve
Amyhow I’m just about to start putting things back together and I want to make sure I get a few things in particular (oil filter adapter and intake manifold) torqued properly
Where would I find the correct settings for such things?
    Thanks in advance

    Assuming 1.8T?

    Oil filter housing

    Intake mani

Oil filter housings are torque to yield, I usually call it 12 ft lbs and have never had an issue. Hope this helps

Yep B6 Bentley Manual. Super handy to have for referencing most things on our A4’s

Any chance that you've got an exploded diagram of a pcv valve and connecting pieces. I can't for the life of me figure out how this thing is supposed to fit on this guy

I see you're also in portland with bikes and a 05 dolphin grey Avant 6MT - that's rad

    * I know which PCV valve port the breather tube goes on but can't for the life of me figure out how it will fit. The old valve had a weird connector between the two that I've never seen in any other pictures or diagrams. A connector which I can't seem to remove from the old valve...
Am i supposed to use a heat gun?

Here’s how I do it, picked up the concept from working with modern pex plumbing and how a little friction expands the supply hose to the valve. In the pics I already attached my PCV elbow to the PCV...that’s the easy part.

Take a little assembly lube and apply to the male end of the PCV outlet, and female end of the ventilation tube.

Grab a short 3/8” extension with a rachet or cordless impact, and apply a little bit of pressure to expand the opening. Just don’t go too fast if you use an impact, don’t want to heat up the plastic too much. Should start looking like this

Once you have about 1” expanded you should be able to start slipping it on until it’s completely seated. Takes a little force, but once cooled the plastic will form around the PCV outlet and seal effectively.

Nice thing about using a little oil or assembly lube is that it may need to be slightly clocked when installed, and the lubricant will allow for fine adjustments while not affecting the seal as it will go from a liquid to a gas within a few heat cycles. Hope that helps!

Haha it’s been an awesome car. Took awhile to find a USP with a manual, but was worth the wait. Since you’re in PDX and get stuck on something, shoot me a PM.
