ok ok I get it FITMENT.
From all the pictures I have seen it looks good.
Does anyone have close up pictures of the Deval Dtm bumper?
I want the Dtm Oem bumper but dont know where to get it better yet how much it will be. Plus the oem DTM doesnt allow fogs :(

I wouldn’t say so much as to hating on it. I think people think they’re getting a better deal by saving money and buying aftermarket when in reality by the time you get it to fit somewhat like OE you’ve probably spent the same if not more for an OE part.

Correct. I have only seen the deval RS4 bumper.

I would not buy a dtm bumper that wasn't oem. Getaudiparts has the best price I've found.

Price difference can vary depending on the shop and quality of work. You just saw an OEM DTM front can run you close to 1k but that’s guaranteed fitment. DEVAL RS4-like Front is approximately $500+ not including fog grilles and any fitment issues that needs to be addressed.

I’d suppose so. I can’t exactly chime in on that since I’ve never bought anything that expensive directly from a local dealer.

Can anyone say what they specifically had issues with? Are the mounting point like an inch off? The fiberglass (?) super inconsistent and poorly shaped? I don't really get what about the fit is so notorious or how one fixes it for a few hundred extra...

Again, I have never seen a Deval DTM bumper. I even went and looked for it. If you have a link, I would like to see it. eBay is full of "duraflex" glass DTM reps with chicken wire grilles, but I have never seen a Deval. I would never buy one of those fiberglass bumpers.

However, the Deval RS4 bumper, which I have seen on the forum, doesn't look right. The lines are off where the bumper meets fender. There is a weird bulge. Plus, anything you want to do, like adding fogs with stock grilles, requires custom fab and fitting. I assume the DTM bumper, if it exists, is similar.

Like anyone on this forum will tell you, if you are going to do a bumper (or anything else), don't cheap out. Buy OEM stuff or forget about it. GetAudiParts has a great price, but shipping is an issue. However, they are nothing more than a local DC area Audi dealer (Tischer). Call your local audi dealer and get their price. Tell them you found a dealer price for $650, and ask if they will match.
