If a Carfax has Damage reported on it would that keep a vehicle from being certified? What would be considered "Ineligible Data Flag"

I'm looking at a 2016 SQ5 and this was on the Carfax from the dealer.

    Hello Seand75,

Thank you for checking in on this SQ5, I appreciate you taking the time to complete your due diligence before making such a purchase and it's my pleasure to help. The ineligible data flags that you are referring to are if the vehicle has been marked with a junked, salvaged, flooded, or otherwise modified title or if the vehicle was a manufacturer's buyback (non-TDI related). If there is damage reported to Carfax is does not necessarily mean that the vehicle will be voided while navigating the CPO certification process. My recommendation is to bring the Carfax report to your dealer's attention and inquire on the nature of the damage. If you would like any further assistance on that process please let me know I am more than happy to help.

    Thank you,
    Vincenzo F.
