    2020 S7 Order Guide

I shamelessly copied this from another enthusiast forum.

The way Audi grouped the options, most of them would be mandatory for me. The only one I could possibly live without is the Luxury Package, but I would want the Driver Assist, Executive, Black Optics and Sports Package (with the Driver Assist and Executive Package being STANDARD on the Prestige, at least it says that).

Also, I noticed that Air Suspension is standard, but an adaptive spring setup is optional. That just seems backwards to me.

The nicer stereo deletes the spare tire, so forget that, at least for me (I need my spare). Also, acoustic glass was available in both Premium Plus and Prestige for the C7, but it is only available in the Prestige now.

So, I would get the following:

    1. Prestige (with comes with Driver Assist and Executive Package).
    2. Black Optics
    3. Sports Package

I would probably get Daytona, Florett, Navarra or Firmament. Anyone know what Avalon Green looks like?

Price will make or break this car in my opinion. There are so many more powerful, faster alternatives in the $90k range that choices will be hard for me (and many other buyers such as myself I presume). I've been eyeballing the 2020 X5 m50i and 2020 AMG GLC 63s Coupe, which both--fully loaded--might be around the same price as the S7 and both will likely be faster than the S7 (and both have V8s). I saw an AMG GLC 63s and I actually like the way it looks.

If all three are the same price, I would probably NOT choose the S7. If the S7 is cheaper than the X5 m50i and AMG GLC63s Coupe, then I would probably consider it. However, the S6 Avant would be placed right back into the equation for sure.

I've been asking about the green as well. The RS5 green is pretty sweet. That with the red interior would look sweet.

For me I don't think so much about other manufacturers with more HP. I love the look of the 7's and 450 HO/460FP is good enough. Plus can always tune.

My real question would be Sport Seat or Comfort Seat.

Ill take the sports seats any day with those cool shapes and diamond patterns on it. I customized a 2020 Audi S7 on the Audi.de website and liked the sports seats better. I plan to get it in the exlusive color ara blue or sepang blue for exterior.

The Fortitude site has a 7-29-19 post by Evan Williams stating "The 2020 S7 is set to arrive at dealers shortly, from $83,900 for Premium Plus and $89,500 for Prestige."

Also noticed that Autoblog just published an article today (in the past hour) on the 2020 S7 that should be of interest! Here's one of the many pics from that article:

    Gone but not forgotten - 2011 S4 | Prestige | Jet Blue | HRE R40s

Thinking about ordering the 2020 S7, but was hoping for some help regarding the process since it'll be the first time i'm doing that. Do I just waltz into the dealership, sit down with someone, go through the Audi website picking my options and then the MSRP at the end is the final price with no negotiations or anything...?

From dealerships that I've spoken to, i've been told there's no advantage ordering from one dealer vs another, is that true too?

    Thanks in advance!

Dealer still sets pricing, so they can move, though I expect many not to. They can also set it higher than MSRP if they want to, but this isn’t a Corvette so unlikely. Depending on your state, if dealers ask for a deposit it may be fully refundable. None of the options have pricing yet so nothing is set.

There is nothing on the website, so you’re both looking at the order guide PDF and maybe trying to check if Audi.de has visuals. They drop the order into AudiConnect via some check boxes, print out a confirmation, give you the commission number and out you go.

If you are just customizing packages and don’t want crazy colors most dealers will go zero on deposits - I have about three identical S6s ordered to make sure I don’t end up in a crappy pricing situation.

Shop around. There are huge dealer differences.

Also, I would wait if I were you. I don’t suspect many dealers will be willing to discount much on a car that hasn’t even been released. It’s like that story where someone paid $90k for a marked up Supra. Dealer pricing went from way over MSRP to under in the span of a few weeks after the Corvette was announced.

I have a feeling there will be deep discounts after these things sit on the lot for a few months, without much movement. The V8 panache is gone.

Looking forward to seeing one on the street and beating it up. :) But I'll have to pass for my next car. Just doesn't do it for me.
