    1.8t engine oil cooler leak

I've had this on going issue with my oil cooler adapter since I got the car. When I got the car and did the first oil change, while taking off the filter the oil cooler snapped. So I have since bought another adapter used and now can't get oil to stop leaking from where the gasket meets together. I bought a new gasket and even tried putting around RTV and i'm still getting a leak. Should I just try to buy a brand new cooler and adapter? I have taken this piece down 4 times now and it's making me crazy.

Make sure you are not double gasketed. The old one could be stuck. Buy a new cooler and gasket and get that nut tight. Done.
