I'm thinking of getting a Cab S5 and was wondering what the performance increases would be for Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes. I searched forum but all I can find are regular S4/S5's with the 3.0 Supercharged motor. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I've had a Stage 2 STI in past to which I got a best 12.75 in the 1/4 was hoping for at least that area of performance from the S5 but anything quicker would be awesome.

There's a spreadsheet for 1/4 times, including tune, pulleys, manual vs dsg, etc.: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...your-time-here

I doubt there’s a huge gap between a regular S5 and the S5 cab. Figure a couple tenths maybe in the 1/4. Stage 2 single pulley would definitely be faster than your STi was. I had an ‘05 way back with a bunch of mods and spraying methanol on the stock turbo and my stage 2 S5 is slightly quicker than that setup was.

I’d go for the convertible you’ll definitely get more enjoyment out of it. However it is more dangerous in a convertible

Yeah I had everything done to mine except Meth so if S5 at stage 2 is slightly quicker than that I'll be a happy camper. Thx for input everyone I'll just figure 4 tenths for 1/4 and 2 tenths for 0-60. Hopefully some guys who had a Cab in the past that was modded could chime in.

I did find this Car And Driver article on a stage 1 tuned one but 1/4 they got is 13.4 I hope that isn't what to expect that's slower than a stock STI.

I have a 14 S5 cab APR stage 2 dual pulley with ultra charger. I haven’t took it to the track but will do so this summer and post some slips for you.

Sorry doesn’t help you much now

IIRC, srfrboy & Gonzo11 had heavily modified S5 Cab’s, unlike me the have both moved on from the Cab models. srfrboy to a Porsche & Gonzo11 to a S7 (I think). Look back @ some of their posts for mod’s that they both successfully enjoyed w/o ANY problems. IIRC, srfrboy consistently stated 0-60 times well under 4 seconds (3.75-3.85ish). Essentially the same motor, transmission on yours may be different depending on the year B8 you end up with. Use the “Forum Search” tab directly under the Classified at the very top of the AZ page, enjoy the search & their posts. “Nothing compares to top down driving.”

You should have no issue running 12.5 at around 109mph on a stage 1 tune.

You should be able to run 12.0 at around 113mph on a stage 2 tune.

The S5 coupe can do slightly better due to weight so I added some time ant took away some trap speed on to the above figures. I had no problem running an 11.8 at 115mph on just a single pulley and tune on the coupe with just regular fuel. Figure a couple tenths on that for a cab and a couple mph less.

Both of the above are very easy on the engine. Never known a single one to blow because of either.

You should start shopping for one now. You never want to be desperate and needing a car right away.

Last time I was shopping for a car it took me around 3 months to find one. And that was being a cash buyer

Fun stuff. 2014 RS5 Cab here. Eventuri Intakes, Capristo Exhaust and just a few hours ago added the 034 Transmission Mount Insert and went Stage 1 APR and added Hawk break pads.

Just one 30 minute drive so temper these comments a lot. Running the 93 Octane program. First impressions the shifts are much smoother and consistent. Much smoother curve through shifts and I can feel a difference. Much more driving to do and play.

In a few weeks will be adding the 034 Density line control arm full kit with upper adjustable arms. Most likely sway bar as well for the rear.

I'll be watching and interested. Watching the JHM Tunes closely but Im a slow, cautious type and consider this a toe in the water on the APR Tune. Easily could switch over. (Not aligning anywhere so save the hate ;) )

Love to see Cab Riders pushing performance and mods. Cheers.

I'm good I have a 03 Acura RSX Type S as my daily so will be rocking that once the STI goes back to Subaru in Aug. I'm never leasing again what a waste of money that was. I was so paranoid of getting scratches and dents I barely drove the car the 3 years I had it only has 8300 miles on it right now.
