2016 A6 Audi Extended Warranty - Transfer from Original Owner

    Hi there,

Looking at purchasing a 2016 A6 from the original owner (private sale). They previously purchased the Audi Pure Protection Platinum extended warranty option that last until 7 years / 100K miles ($0 deductible). Car is currently 48 months old and has 39K miles. Not sure if relevant, but the policy is underwritten by Fidelity Warranty Services.

Is this warranty transferable to me? If so, is there any fee? What is the process to get this done? Steps required by current owner?

If you need the VIN or policy number I can PM you.

    Thank you,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

Thank you for reaching out on this potential purchase of yours, I would definitely want this type of warranty to transfer as well if I was looking to make this purchase! For Fidelity and other similarly styled warranties they are facilitated through 3rd parties and not directly through Audi of America. I would recommend speaking with Fidelity Warranty Services directly to determine the steps for the warranty to transfer as they are in the best position to assist. Of course if you have questions along the way please reach out as I'm more than happy to help.

    Thank you,
    Vincenzo F.
