With the stock exhaust, its barely louder than stock. No drone at all. I am looking into a custom exhaust from the DP back. Really wanted valved mufflers to have fun when I want, but keep it low-key when cruising.

Good! That is exactly what I wanted to hear. I love the exhaust sound of my b6, but I love how much of a quiet and comfortable highway car this is. Maybe down the road when this becomes a toy I will change to a different exhaust, but for now I want it quick and quiet.

    Thanks for the help!

Looking great! I went with tarmac FF01's recently too, so you've got an East Coast somewhat twin.

Do you happen to know the part number for the tunnel cover for the rear? I want to pick one of those up also.

Thanks! There's a local black monochrome allroad (BMC2U on IG) on the same spec, but he's static and running 275/35/20s. I need to get a shoot with him!

Here's part numbers for all 3 in case anyone else is wondering:

    Front: 8K1061221B041
    Rear: 8K0061511041
    Tunnel cover: 8K0061580041

Progress is slow due to Covid, but got some big changes in the works!

Got an APR intake because they're CARB legal. Got it cerakoted black, as the carbon was yellowing. Loved the stealth look, but when aired out my tires pushed the into into the hood :( So I replaced it with an AEM intake. also carb legal, but not as stealth. The AEM makes way better turbo noises. Eventually I want to get a black filter to replace the red one.

    Back to stock wheels temporarily

    #UsingIt -- 4 bumpers in this shot:

    US front
    US rear
    US S4 front
    UK S4 rear

Realizing my vision since getting this car -- full S4 front and rear bumpers with OEM flares molded. Should be done by end of this month. Rest of flares and trim are getting actual color matched (instead of the factory matte "match")

That's going to look so awesome! I don't think I've ever seen that look on an AR, props for taking on such a rad idea and running with it!

BTW if you're selling your original front bumper parts Eljay might be interested, I think he might still be on the hunt for some of that stuff

Thanks! Super low on my list haha. I am not looking forward to pulling the headliner, plus I don't know if whispbars clear the sunroof with flush rails.

I have whispbars and the sunroof doesn’t clear with the stock allroad bars, unfortunately. I can only vent; can’t open the roof. Do you have a tip to attach them so the sunroof opens fully?

I remember reading on here that you have to “massage” the bottom of the front bar to clear.

Holy mother of god. That looks MEAN! If I only had the time, space, tools, and budget to swap an S4 bumper on my allroad. Be proud of that!

Have you ever thought about doing a 3.0T swap or are you content with the 2.0T? I don't recall seeing any work done on pistons so it may start burning oil like I am.

I am definitely not content with the 2.0T, but it also works haha. I would love a 3.0 or even 4.2 RS5 V8, but that will be later down the road.

Those are gonna be amazing. Super jealous of the specs too as Avants are stuck with a4/s4 spec wheels.

Id like to but with younger kids and 13hr drive Avantoberfest may not work out. Going to try and combine it with a trip to visit friends in Vegas. If I fly the wife n kids direct the Mrs. just might go for it...

Car looks good and all but WHERE ARE THE VOLKS?

Its amazing to me how many people stick with the absolutely paltry rear brake OEM options (even the OEM swaps are meh calipers). Every single one looks like they skipped leg day compared to any 370mm+ BBK out there. Rear brakes do minimal braking blah, blah, blah. Just look at em... I'm sure you got it all mathed out, but I had to run a 10mm spacer on my rears to clear the Voshmods (8.5, 43 offset iirc) and even then its TIGHT. Maybe 2mm... maybe.

But in all seriousness car looks great and you should be quite proud.

As with everything in 2021, the Volks are delayed. Projected February 2022 now :(

Totally agreed on the look! The Sepang S4 in the photos has 356mms rear with the S6 carriers. I still can't get over how boring the caliper is. I haven't mathed anything on the rear fitment. I just assume it will clear the HREs (and the Volks) given they clear on RS5/S6 rears haha.

Thank you! Now I need the power to back up the looks. One day I'll 3.0t swap ... one day ...

I went from the oem rears brakes straight to the Vosh, but Ill say his bracket moves the caliper out quite a bit and/or the caliper size is just significantly different then the stock a4 rears. Not sure how it will compare to the rs5/s6 but I'd assume you'll have similar issues as its the same s6 rotor.

Stock rear brakes > OEM wheels - 25mm+ of clearance (also 8.5 +43 wheels, same as Volks but with an almost vertical spoke which left lots of room for caliper clearance)
Vosh > OEM wheels - 4mm-ish (I don't measure/math much either) It was tight but felt there was more then enough room
Vosh > Volks - Wheels hit the caliper and tight even with 10mm spacer.

You have significantly different wheel specs but I'd jump on a wheel calculator if you don't have spacers laying around. Spokes on TE37s are not as BBK friendly. Would be a shame to finally get em, but then have to shelf them while you order/receive spacers.

6mt 3.0t ftw. Price on just a 4.0 block makes by butt pucker. Let alone everything else, and salvage prices now are out to lunch.

    What specs are your TEs?

Mine are Face 3 in 20x10 +25. Yours look like 19s? So yeah lots of things come into play. I don't daily my car, so a couple days waiting for spacers isn't a big deal.
