MMI 3G+ firmware & map updates (2018)

I bought these off ebay and successfully updated the firmware & maps in my 2013 A5 and now have no use for them, so I thought I'd sell them off a little cheaper than what they'd cost you on ebay.

My firmware was what came in the car originally: HN+_US_AU3G_P0566

If yours is the same, then this should work fine for you. I'll include also a Samsung SD card adapter - the ones that it came with threw an error and the sellor did mention getting a bad batch, but I'll not pass along that part.

From ebay, you'll pay $45 for the firmware and $80 for the maps - total of $125. I'm asking $85 for all of it AND a known-good, working adapter, AND the instructions I got, AND shipping to the continental U.S.. It's not a difficult process, but you will need to have the hidden menus enabled, and then have VAGCOM handy to re-enable after the FW update since that update will again disable that option.

K0942 are the last bits for the firmware. If your firmware wasn't updated, then it's extremely unlikely that the maps were updated independently. I have no idea if maps are dependent on firmware, but all directions I've seen always have the firmware update as part of it, and done first.

Guessing I have newest here is what I have. Wonder if there will be a 2019 update

Looks like mine, but will verify tomorrow. I will likely go RSNAV in a few months, but it would be good for Audi to keep these cars current.

Sounds like a pirated copy? The genuine firmware SD is a full size SD card in a cardboard case; the genuine map SD card is also full size SD and comes in a DVD-style case.

Could be... I know that it all worked flawless in my car and have had zero issues with functionality. If I'd have had issues, I'd have returned and/or sorted them out, and definitely would not have offered up a non-functional item for sale. How hard is it to copy from a full-size SD to a microSD... pretty darn straight-forward. Arrrgghh matey, there's booty to be had off the shores of ebay... arrrrgghh
