Reverse Wifi Connection To Client Mode

I'm looking to reverse the direction of the wifi connection so the car acts as a client not a host making it so the car can connect to my phone wifi hotspot. This could enable Google Earth nav and other audi connect prime features without paying the monthly service charge for internet. I know there are some Canadians that have enabled this in a few different models to get Google Earth navigation working in Pre audi connect Canadian cars

However when I go into my adaptations or long coding mine doesn't match what's discussed in that thread at all.

I have a US '17 S3 Premium Plus with virtual cockpit, if anyone knows how this is done or can work on getting this working let me know and I'll help however I can. Thanks!

I've done this, unfortunately however since I still don't have an active audi connect subscription, google earth still doesn't work.

In order to connect, you need to disable your data connection in MMI (the sim card), as well as enabling client mode. I'll have to look and remember what I did in obdeleven.

If you are able to connect to your phone for internet I'd take a look at that forum post I linked because somehow the Canadian spec vehicles were able to get the earth nav working without an Audi connect subscription. Either way I'm new to the Audi adaptations/long coding game so any help is greatly appreciated
