Thumbs up Any reason not to buy OEM wheels from OriginalWheels.com/hubcaphaven.com/oewheelsllc?

I am scoping out some OEM wheels and the only places that I can find them are originalwheels.com, hubcaphaven.com, and oewheelsllc.com.

I have no interest in buying replicas, but from what I am reading on these sites, the wheels are either replicas or reconditioned OEM wheels using factory paint codes.

Should I avoid doing this? Are the wheels going to match the OEM color and finish? I'm not replacing a broken wheel or anything, so it doesn't have to be a perfect match, but I want the same color and finish as if I were buying new OEM wheels.

    Thanks in advance!

If you’re after S5 Rotors I believe SteveYem bought Rotors from one of these places once and they were not very good quality. (I think he even returned then)

Yep, looking for S5 rotors. Yikes, definitely don't want to be in that position. ECS sells them for $700/piece new but that's a lot of change, so I am looking elsewhere.

From what I can see, it looks like he purchased the S5 Peelers and then settled on the 19x8.5 S4 rotors. Pryor to the S4 rotors, did he purchase S5 rotors and return them? Or did you misspeak?

Yes, myself and 3 others currently have "want to buy" threads looking for OEM S5 rotors. Odds seem low that I find them on there in a timely fashion.

    I did not misspeak: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...1#post11733555

He eventually found a set of non-refurbed S5 Rotors and has had them for a couple years now. I know this because I would ask him once a year if he wanted to sell them.

I found a set of S5 Rotors locally marked as S4 Rotors. The guy wanted $800 for them, including some junky used up Dunlop tires. Two of them have some light curb rash and one has a small gouge, but I got them for $760. I'm sending them to one of the best wheel refinishing shops on the East Coast and having all 4 done for ~$1000. That put's me at ~$1760 all in. After that, I'll swap my 255 PSS's onto them and install a KW HAS kit.

As of morning, there is at least one set listed on the Facebook marketplace. Search for "Audi S5 Wheels" and "Audi Rotor Wheels". They're in PA and listed at $2100. Sets pop up quite frequently on there and on Craigslist, you just need to keep constantly searching for them so you can grab them before anyone else does.

    Where are you located?
