Had the windshield replaced in April of 2018. Had to go through the whole calibration dealie. Thankfully the previous owner (dealership) covered the cost b/c the "repair" to the chip was unsatisfactory to the State of Maryland. They charged $499 for the calibration. Additionally, I was recalibrated after some pothole damage in December but that was taken care of by insurance.

Windshield replacement -> ACC calibration. ACC calibration =/= windshield replacement.

Insurance should cover it if you/they have a glass deductible.

Where did you get the "avg price is $700"? I know my dealer charges $500 for it (or $1100 if you're an insurance company). OP, check the service specials part of your dealership too--sometimes they may have an additional deal
