Anyone using colder spark plugs on 91 octane?

I am about to do plugs on my dual pulley 91 octane EPL tune.

EPL is recommending I go with one step colder NGK plugs due to the octane and I am about to buy those (BKR9EIX I think are the right ones?).. but I have only seen very negative experiences with colder plugs posted here. It is making me a little anxious about it.

Is anyone using colder plugs on 91 octane? Please share any experiences.

I used those plugs for a while on 91 but blended e85 almost every tank. Not sure if that's why they looked bad when I pulled them but they looked really bad. I've been running BKR8EIX with good results but again I run a fair amount of ethanol.

We only recommend the 1 step colder plugs for use with CA91 on a Dual Pulley tune. If you plan to blend E85 most of the time then you should run the NGK PFR8S8EG gapped down to .026" as well.
