    C7 VS C7.5 exhaust differences?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I am interested to know if anyone has some first hand experience with the differences between the C7 (A6 in this case) exhaust and the C7.5.

I know the tips are different, moving to the square type after 2016. And consequently the bumper cover will be different. But lets say someone wanted to use a C7 exhaust on a C7.5 Could that be done with the addition of the tips/bumper cover? Are there any other major routing/hangers/mufflers/resonators/etc that are in any different locations preventing the use?

Not looking so much for speculation here. More first hand knowledge of whether they are compatible in any way.

The reason for my ask is that in the classified section I am attempting to sell a C7.5 AWE touring exhaust but need the factory exhaust to replace it. Have several folks interested in swapping me for their C7 A6 exhaust but save for the tips I am not sure what is different.

Thanks for looking and any insight!

I was told by multiple dealer and mechanic theyre different. Maybe with modifications but why go that route and run into problems. I currently have a c7 specific magnaflow catback and it was a bitch to install on floor jacks. Especially those damn hangers. It took 2 1/2 hrs. So if you are doing it i suggest bolt on!

I am doing it because I need the stock exhaust on this car so I can retail it and I am on a timeline of sorts.

Thank you for the input though. I can only imagine what putting the exhaust on with jack stands was like. Might have done that back in my younger days.. but now.. No thanks! haah!

I'm looking for the answer to this question too so I can understand what I could pick up used and still fit my car. I've been told that the performance exhaust on the C7.5 has different rear mufflers than the standard exhaust and C7 exhaust and that all other components are the same. I don't know if it's 100% plug and play though. Probably best for you to call a shop that installs these types of exhausts and confirm with them (and report back :-))
