    VAG-COM general inquiry

So I am looking to pick one up, I am on my second B5 A4 right now, and will be purchasing another Audi within the next year or so. I am just looking for the best VAG-COM for the money, I know there are a couple different ones out there. I was wondering what your experiences are and which one/ones seem to work better and have an easier more user friendly set up, maybe more options, ect. Any help would be greatly appreciated, looking to purchase in the next few weeks. Thank you

If you can get a used HEX-USB+CAN cable, it'll give you the best compatibility with the older models without worrying about a VIN limit. If you're looking at getting a model newer than 15-16 era, get a current supported model from Ross Tech. You'll have to worry about a VIN limit on it (but you can unlock it later if needed), but you won't have to worry about module compatibility.

I have a 99.5 right now, and I will be purchasing an 01-12 depending on what I find over the next few months.
