    Autotech HPFP upgrade

Was taking a thorough look through the bay of my S4 and found yet another issue. I noticed that the HPFP housing was slightly leaking and I’m planning on getting it looked at but assuming it’s just the seal gone bad. I’ve been looking into making more power but have been holding off on getting tuned until the time is right. I was curious if an autotech HPFP upgrade is a smart idea considering I need to take it apart anyway and wasn’t sure if it is at all worth it untuned or would even be compatible. Lmk if any of you have any insight or experience with a HPFP upgrade. Thanks!

You’re going to need it anyway, like Nike said just do it!

I would suggest to get a new hpfp and install the autotech into that one. Me and someone else I know both had our pumps fail upon installing the autotech. New pump from Audi and it's been all good for thousands of miles. It's also ok to run it stock, might just get a soft code for fuel pressure but everything runs fine

Unless you're planning on going dual pulley and running a high ethanol % (over E30ish) there is no need for the Autotech. Each tune is a little different with fueling needs but in general if you're running straight 91/93 you're good.

Sweet thanks for the tip. I figured I’d ask around before spending $400 on that tiny piece of metal. Eventually I would like to run some kind of ethanol tune but not until way down the road so I’ll hold of until then.
