CarPlay iPhone XR / XS

Anyone have problems with iPhone XR or XS repeatedly disconnecting from CarPlay in the B9 S4 when the battery drops below 100%?

It seems that the early B9s can’t put out enough juice to stay connected to the new iPhones. The new B9 RS cars don’t seem to have this issue.

I had to buy this adapter to fix the issue if anyone else has this problem:

The adapter pulls the power from both USB ports and sends the power of both to the phone.

Appears to be a known issue, one that Apple is even aware of. Apparently the work around that seems to be successful is to pick up a USB power monitor such as the Eversame USB Digital Power Meter Tester Multimeter Current and Voltage Monitor.

I don't have any issues with my XS, and I'm using an Amazon Basics 3' USB cord to connect it to the vehicle.
