Iím gonna do my front pads and rotors soon, and was wondering what everyone has been using. I was going to order some Zimmermann rotors and Pagid pads from FCP Euro.

I seen a lot of people like the Akebono pads. Iím debating between Ceramic and semi metallic pads.

I'm probably the only Akebono naysayer here! I prefer OEM pads as they have slightly quicker initial bite which I find handy on the secondary roads of Central NY where white-tailed deer and manure spreaders abound! I've been very happy with Zimmerman rotors & OEM compound pads supplied by Emiparts.com! Competitively priced & delivered quickly! YEs, I've used Akebono's on both my old RWD Volvo's & my Urs6 Avant & '99 A6 Avant, loved lack of dust, hated lack of quick stop! Have 150,000 miles on 4 C6 Avants's and have changed to OEM's/Zimmerman as soon as they needed brake service.

I'll be the black sheep- I'm running on Stoptech cross-drilled rotors and Stoptech Sport pads, along with Stoptech STR-600 brake fluid. I'm happy with them. Had them for almost three years now. To me they feel like what upgraded OE pads would be. No brake fade after repeated high speed stops, dust less than the OE pads (but still dust... at least their dust is more silverish in color so it hides easier on the wheels better than the doodoo brown OE's dust).

They are great and I'm happy with them... but if I had to do it again I'd go back to my old school favorite, Hawk HPS pads. They squeal when cold and initial bite when cold is "alright", but after that first time you brake from 45/50mph they are AMAZING then on. No squeal once warmed up and they bite hard. Their dust is also comparable to my Stoptechs and also silverish. They are a harder compound so you can expect decreased rotor life but that all depends on how you drive.
