Since a few months after I bought my (used) 2013 S6 in 2017 it keeps on breaking down and the car now out of warranty is really burning my money like crazy.. Iíve had all kinds of problems with this car:
    - Engine mounts
    - Throttle Body
    - Mechatronics
    - Air Suspension
    - Electronics - Air suspension, ESC, ABS, Ride height control
    - Intake manifold runner stuck open

All of this is apart from the regular service, brakes and tires..

    This car is a joke!

Iím really fed up and thinking about burning it and shipping the remains to Audi AG

So you're mad that an expensive to repair german car....is expensive to repair? Did you not do any research before buying the S6? Nearly all of your problems listed above are well known on this car. You're lucky you haven't done turbos yet. Not to be down on you but you're not going to get much sympathy when all of these things are pretty common issues.

No mechatronics is not common, intake manifold is not common, stupid sensor failing and causing several electrical errors might be common along with air suspension

Also had my coolant hose explode out of nowhere

I donít see that many complaints here in the forum to be honest

It is a 6 year old German car. Of course it needs repairs. How many miles do you Have?

On the 2013 the mechatronics is pretty common. They updated it later on. My 2013 had the mech and the whole trans replaced, luckily for me when still under warranty.

Unfortunately u cant own these cars without a warranty. Unless getting a $5k-$13k bill is no big thing.

Yep, my 2013 as it was exhibiting mech and tranny issues. Turbos, PCV, wheel bearings and other items you mentioned are all common issues unfortunately. First year model definitely seem to have had the most issues.

Sounds like the previous owner beat the shit out of it before you purchased it.

You bought a used, first-model-year german car that is 70-80k msrp and mad it is not reliable and too expensive to maintain???

My car has been far from reliable but the only thing that irks me is that Audi designed the turbo oil strainer poorly which is leading to turbo failures.

Given that you're out of warranty you have little recourse- you may want to get your PCV, turbo return lines, and turbo oil screen replaced before you have even bigger repair bills...

its not a fair point, I've had a Panamera turbo and a 640i as well, yes 640 was not as reliable as the Panamera but I've has 0 complaints with the Panamera.. It is the perfect car out there, extremely reliable. So to address the point of buying an expensive car and complaining about expensive repairs is not true. I dont mind paying for "normal" repairs but most of the issues I'm talking about aren't normal

Definitely sucks but having bought it used and not knowing service history or how the previous owner treated the car itís hard to comment more.

I had. 2011 Dodge Charger loved the car it literally started to fall apart after four years I was in the shop every month for a year, luckily I had an extended warranty so it was more the inconvenience than the expense. Audi made me an offer I couldnít refuse and itís part of the reason I got the RS7 I felt I like as ripping them off for the trade in.

First model year is a completely different animal. I learned my lesson when I purchased a brand new 2005 A6 back in January 2005. It became a money pit. You live and you learn.

My Charger was first model year and our 2017 Q7 is first model year. Itís been in the shop for electronics issues related to sensors half a dozen times my wife is ready to kill me.

So yes, no more first model years for me.

Never buy the very first year car a new model is released. Buy either the mid cycle refresh or last few years a model is produced. Generally most issues are fixed or addressed.

We owned a Mazda 6 first year it got released in 14'. Had a lot of issues. I know people with 16-17 MY and no issues. It's just something you learn buying cars. Manufacturers stopped doing extensive testing on every car and just release it to the public and have warranty to figure issues or recalls. It's just the reality we live in.

Either that or buy a very good extended warranty. Mine has covered about $18k of work in 1.5 years.
