Hopefully after two or three years of depreciation they will be attainable.

I have been saying for years I would buy one if it came here. I think this mean I have to do it now if they actually cone through with it. Any idea on what will be new with the engine yet?

I have it on very good authority from someone currently attending the Audi training meeting this week that its the A6 Allroad that will be coming first. No official mention of the RS6 or RS4 for that matter. Reading between the lines, I believe they will use the A6 Allroad to prove the business case for the RS6 and generally America's appetite for wagons.

Stoked. One of the very few cars I would actually get with an AUTO transmission!

That's silly. I would buy an RS4 Avant, but I would not buy an Allroad.

True but one is substantially cheaper to develop than the other I would imagine.

Won't be able to buy a new RS6, but hopefully i'll be able to afford one after a few years of depreciation... This is a dream car for sure.

Absolutely! That's exactly how I managed to get my '03 RS6 several years ago, and even my current '16 S4. Depreciation is our friend if your willing to go used and be patient for the right sample. Learned my lesson on the RS6, that one was hard on the wallet.

RS6 Avant is getting closer to the USA...

I think it depends on how many they decide to actually bring into the US. Regarding what was previously mentioned, if demand is high enough and they do bring in the RS versions of the regular models, I canít imagine it would be a lot of them since RSís are speciality models already. Hereís hoping Iím wrong, but picking a depreciated one up might be harder than it seems given their potential rarity.

I too have heard from people within audi that it will be the allroad, but no word on the RS4 or RS6. Won't be worth while for Audi to bring the RS6 here to have everyone buy it 2-3 years old and not new. That's why I've always voted RS4 since it would be similarly priced to an rs5 sportback.

Ugh ... I really hope this is not the case as they are entirely different customers. They're focusing on the format (wagons) rather than the functional, high-performance category of vehicles. With the ridiculous success of crossovers and performance SUVs I can't believe they would do something like this. RS cars are not an "upgrade" from the base ... they are an entirely different category. Come on Audi!!! Let's do this!!!
