New Avant project. New, stranger issues

So, my son picked up a basket case of a car. Quite the doozie, if you will. It would take more time than this thread to explain it all.

The most vexing issue is the obscene negative camber in the front. It's about -2.5 per side. We did a full FCP CA kit with TREs and boy was I surprised at the alignment results. It looks so awkward being that it's got more neg camber than the rear!

Unfortunately, we tossed the old parts after tearing it apart so we couldn't compare to see if they were the same. I'd also swear that it wasn't anywhere near this bad before, just shot and in need of replacing.

Did the PO slap on parts from something else? That would go a long way to explain things.

    Thanks all.

Sounds like the front lower control arms are in the wrong inboard mounting location.

So you're telling me that there are two mount points for that arm?? Can't believe I never noticed that!

If that's the case when I do make it right, will the toe be off?

Thanks for the response, btw. Much appreciated!

LOL I always wondered if the car would even go together right using those holes.

Toe and caster should be realigned after changing the lower arm mounting point.

If indeed this is my case, you've just now met the kind of guy who would fulfill that vision

Thanks. I'll take a measurement beforehand and get it close enough for a 5 mile trip.

IIRC, caster isn't adjustable, but it is 1.2L/0.8R oddly enough. Wonder what it'll be afterward?

Caster is "shiftable" every so slightly when the subframe is moved.
I actually meant camber, though, lol.

Seriously, hitting the wrong hole is an honest mistake. They're both really close together.
