    Typical boost targets on a dual pulley set up?

    Hi all,

    Am having a custom tune done soon and am wondering what kind of boost I should be running on a 3.01 pulley ratio?

    I do have a forge charge cooler too, and will be porting the super charger and fitting a throttle body and eventuri intake at the same time.

    Would appreciate hearing thoughts one what people consider safe boost (assuming appropriate fuelling and timing) - my car has a crec engine and will be running straight 93 octane pump gas (99 ron here in the uk).

    3.01 at roughly sea level will probably make 2200-23XX hpa.

    I'd probably start around there and adjust as needed.

    Apr uses the same 2450mbar file for their stage 2 as they do for their dual pulley. Wouldn't hurt to give yourself some headroom

    I thought you were installing a 194mm Vdamper? If so that's a PR of nearly 3.07, not 3.01.
    I peak at 2.3 bar with my 2.99 PR but everything else is stock apart from the usual stage 2 intake mods.

    Itís actually 1.95 but I couldnít remember exactly until I opened the box today!

    I assume yours is 2.3bar absolute pressure, not 2.3bar of actual boost?

    Im running the stock S/C pulley & 187mm crank pulley for ~2.96 ratio. IE stage 2 tune (havent seen the bypass open ever yet)

    I see boost peaking around 17.5-18 psi on my P3 gauge... so about 2250hPa (abs)

    18 psi is a ton for a Stage 2 tune, do you have logs?

    17-18psi is completely normal for his 2.96pr bc in a low da

    Custom tuned 187/57.5 with stock blower, 23 psi at sea level and 24 - 25 psi at -600 ft with 37F

    I'm surprised you all are seeing such high boost levels, I only saw 2443hPa during my 10.861 1/4 mile run...

    This is higher than max map sensor 2560mbar correct?

    On the boost tap currently without my new file that Iím waiting for I see a spike of 24 then it drops to 20 and at redline spikes again to 24. On logs at 3k I get up to 2480 then the bypass opens and rides 12-16 ish all the way through with actual at 2430-2450 mbar and still bleeding so hopefully Iíll be 22-24 once we get her figured out.
    13 S4: Tune EPL, CTS 57/XLR8 196.5 Meth/E file, ROC-EURO w/ custom velocity stack, RSE test pipes and custom catback, ECS inserts, 034 subframe mounts, CR-15, H&R Sports, ECS Slotted rotors, Akebono pads, Snow Performance meth dual 375 nozzles=1000cc Straight Meth, 034 rear sway, coolant pump mod/divorced, Merc hx, AG M590 wheels/Indy 500ís, iABED 75mm TB, Autotech, Matty Blower with hygroscopic vents on ics.

    You can tune around the limits if you dont want to change the map but at my pr i obviously havent needed too. I believe there's folks who have swapped them. Third option is you could run a very mild setting on chipwerke to just spoof it under your request boost. Id go with option 1 and just have your tuner adjust.

    Must depend on where and how you tap for boost. Vcds shows lower at the map sensor but obviously you see higher where you tapped. At least you havent pegged the map sensor yet on your log

    on 183/57 DP, with a ported blower and stock airbox, how much actual boost (psi) should i see via the p3 gauge at full throttle?
    I am tap-ing boost measurements via an adapter at the TB.
    i'm seeing some large variations mentioned in this thread, which is confusing.

    That sounds about right. I have just a 179mm crank pulley (about 2.8:1 ratio) and stage 2 "single pulley" tune and am seeing 2160-2180 hPa, or about 16.5 to 17.0 psi at sea level on VCDS data logs.

    On a 2.96 ratio at 6000 DA, I get ~1950mbar or ~16 PSI.
    At ~1000 DA aka sea level and warmer weather, I believe I would get ~18.5 PSI.
