    Howdy,

Has anyone tried using Siri activation via the steering wheel?

    E.g. something like: https://www.connects2.com/Product/Pr...em/CTSAD007.3?

Thinking of getting this setup for my newly acquired Pioneer SPH-DA130DAB (MVH-1400NEX on states side).

    Cheers.

That will work. They make our steering wheel control box. We use a different audio box because theirs does not always fix all the engine whine issues. And we make our own harness because they use green instead of light green and their amp on wire is in a weird place. Used to bug the hell out of me.

    Assuming you have a 2002-2006 Audi A4.

Wiring harness - Connects to your cars original harness and terminates into Blaupunkt style connector. (We also have PNP adapters that convert the Blaupunkt style connector into radio specific connections)
https://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_SRWH_AUD2_HILO.html Fixes low rear audio and does steering wheel controls with a SWCL.
We were going to make a no steering wheel control HILO but decided to bring the price of the HILO with steering down to the no steering price.

Adds steering wheel controls to the boxes above.

Converts the Blaupunkt style connection into a connection specific to your radio.

Antenna adapter - This converts your 2 antenna connections into the universal connections most radios need.

This is our radio mounting kit. It matches the factory dash pretty close to perfect. We do not have a cheap kit for this because they all look bad in our opinion.

look at this article about shallow face radios. https://www.ceoutlook.com/2017/06/21...o-shape-shift/

This mic makes replaces the aftermarket mic for better sound goes in the factory location.

Keys to take out the radio.

    Hi There,

    Happy New Year!

Many thanks for the insightful reply. I had a hunch that Connects2 kit was being used for your kits too

I actually have a 2005 Audi A3 - Mini ISO, non BOSE system with a subwoofer in the back - what some call a half amplified system.

I was looking at Connects2 as Iím from England and itís easy to get their stuff as opposed to from the other side of the pond . Having said that your double DIN fascia is universally praised to be a close match to the factory one and Iíd have to take the $25 shipping hit on it ultimately!

My understanding is that since the Pioneer HU already has 3 pre outs and 4v output I should have no problem with the issue a lot of people encounter with no sound from the rear speakers as thereís enough power to switch on the rear amp. But I could be wrong - happy to be corrected.

Are you planning to bring out a steering control unit supporting Siri then? Or are you advising me to get your kit sans the SWC and use the newer one from Connects2?

    Thanks.

Even radios with 5V preouts benefit from our hilo box. The factory radio is somewhere between 6-8V. We had too many issues with with noise using their audio box. Since you are already ordering the Dash kit I would absolutely order our harness. Using the newer box we use created an increase in cost of $10. We obviously believe in it to spend that money. Especially when I have at least 200 of their audio box in stock. And there was also a no reverse signal issues that happened when their Siri software first came out. We were actually the ones that discovered it. Hopefully you do not purchase someones old inventory. Obviously I want you to purchase our part but ultimately I am stating all facts here.

    Hi,
Thanks for that. Just to clarify the kit you have supports Siri already? In that case order on the way
    Cheers.
