    AirLift 3p System Questions

    Hey all,

(Sorry if there is already a thread for this, I have no idea how to work forums )

I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on the Airlift 3p system, which I am super stoked for! However, I have a couple questions and would love some tips if any of you guys have done this before:

First, the tank set up - I would really like (and kind of need) as much trunk space as I can get. Putting the tank (probably 4 gallon) and compressor right behind the backseats is always an option, but that takes up a lot of space and renders the trunk almost useless (btw I think single compressor). I was thinking about putting the tank on the roof of the trunk (not the actual trunk lid, but the part that is connected to the cabin) right behind the subwoofer. Has anyone ever done this? Would love some tips on where to start with the placement of the tank, I've been trying to wrap my head around the placement of the tank for probably a week straight.

Secondly, can the compressor fit next to the battery in the truck, or has anyone made a platform for the tank to sit above the battery with the lid still being able to close properly? I feel like hiding this away would greatly help the space situation, again, any help with this process would be huge!

The lines, I am probably going to go with the 3/8 lines, faster air up. Any objections to this?

Some rapid fire questions! - has anyone had any trouble with this system? Parts not fitting right (heard the fittings for the water trap never fit)? Any overall concerns or blatant drawbacks? Also very intrigued on your opinions of the system, if you have done this, do you recommend it? Or do you wish you stayed with conventional suspension systems? Anything I should know before installing this kit?

Anyways, thanks in advance for any help!

Also here are the part numbers from Airlift and ECS Tuning where I will probably buy it from

That is exactly what I was looking for. It looks like you drilled right into the sheet metal of the battery compartment, right? Also, S5 looks awesome!

Yessir. I actually used nutserts into everythingg so i can unbolt and it wont just have holes in the metal. The only hard part was getting the tank in since the bottom isnt flat and the legs were hitting in uneven spots so i put a sheet of stainless down first. Also i think a company bagriders?? I think make a mount for the spare tire area. It might be only for the q5 tho so thats why i did my own thing
