Question A4 Avant right side tun signal not working, even after new bulb

Got the indicator that the bulb was out, and needed to be replaced. I had a suspicion that the bulb wasnít the issue, because when I pulled it out the filament looked fine.

So I replaced the bulb (and the left side turn signal as well), then went to test before reassembling everything. The right hand side bulb still isnít working. The reverse light on the same plastic harness piece (forgive me, Iím not technical) works just fine, so Iím not sure what the issue is. I pulled the new bulb out of the socket, and donít see any corrosion or anything.

Every other bulb on the car is working just fine, so unless there is a fuse that controls a single bulb, Iím stumped! Any thoughts?

Have you tried to clean the contacts?

Clean the contacts, I used sand paper on them till they were shiny. Then make sure they aren't bent and causing a bad connection.

So I took a firm toothbrush to the contacts, which were a little dull, but not horrible. After cleaning them out a few times, I'm happy to report that the light is now working. I also discovered some moisture in the housing, and dried that out then sealed the crack with some hot glue.

Good as new, and I'm no longer fulfilling stereotypes about not using my turn signals.
